Adult Beginner Hairdressing Course(private fee paying)

1 Year Course
All courses for mature students take place at our adult training centre in the town centre of Leigh, Greater Manchester (20 mins from the centre of Manchester)
Our experienced and highly qualified trainers and assessors are always keen to meet new students and to discuss their individual needs. On adult hairdressing course you will be registered with City & Guilds and training towards achieving a National Vocational Qualification N.V.Q. Level 2. After completing this course you will be a qualified hairdresser and able to work as a stylist in a professional hairdressing salon
Venture Learning training centres are fully equipped with superb facilities. They are run on a salon basis and as you progress you will work on clients (live models) of all ages. This provides the essential practical salon experience. Progress reviews will be carried out at regular intervals throughout the course to plan training & provide the necessary help & support. All the necessary practical hairdressing skills and theory will be taught during the course and includes:
- Reception work
- Consultation and Diagnosis
- Shampooing
- Conditioning
- Cutting
- Blow-drying
- Perming
- Colouring
- Retailing
- Customer care
- Health & Safety
Beginner Courses

1 year – 2 full days per week (Wednesday & Friday)
Times of Training Sessions
9.30am – 4.30pm
The cost of the course for mature students includes:
- City & Guilds registration and assessment logbook
- A hairdressing kit
- Work packs (for each unit) and student folders
- Certificate (on successful completion)
The kit comprises of:
- A hairdryer
- Scissors
- Set of brushes
- Combs
- Sectioning clips
- Kit case
- Work packs and folders

Get up to £30 per week with an Adult Learning Grant (ALG)
A Career Development Loan (student loan)
An Adult Learning Grant or a Career Development Loan can help you gain the experience, training and qualifications you need to improve your job skills or even launch you into a new career. You can use them to find your hairdressing course for mature students and you can apply for any of these whether you are employed, self-employed or unemployed.

This is to secure a place on the course and includes the:
- Hairdressing kit
- City and Guilds registration fees, assessment logbook and certificate (on successful completion)
- Payment for 8 weeks of the course fees
Further payments of course fees are paid monthly 4 weeks after the start of the training
