Advanced Hairdressing Courses at Venture Learning salon

Adult Advanced Hairdressing Courses (private fee paying)

City & Guilds N.V.Q. Level 3

This course for mature students is designed for the hairdresser who wishes to gain a higher level qualification. You will expand and demonstrate your technical hairdressing skills, knowledge, rolls and responsibilities within the salon.

The course is also ideal for anyone interested in:

  • Managing or running a salon
  • Owning their own business
  • Teaching hairdressing or becoming an NVQ assessor (the Level 3 is a mandatory entry requirement for the Certificate in Education qualification)

You will be registered with City & Guilds and training towards a National Vocational Qualification N.V.Q. Level 3. Advanced techniques in cutting, perming and colouring including colour correction and up-to date partial colouring applications such as foil work are covered.

Practical skills are developed and assessed in the training salons on the models/clients that come into the training centres. All the essential theory is taught in the theory rooms and covers the necessary aspects and portfolio/assignment work needed to complete the N.V.Q Level 3.

The cost of your course for mature students includes:

  • Work-packs (for each unit) and folders
  • City and Guilds registration, assessment logbook and certificate (on successful completion)

An Adult Learning Grant or a Career Development Loan can help you gain the experience, training and qualifications you need to improve your job skills or even launch you into a new career. You can use them to fund your advanced hairdressing courses and you can apply for any of these whether you are employed, self-employed or unemployed.

Course Fees

1 year – Tuesday - 2 hours per week and one other day Wednesday or Friday
Deposit to secure your place £550.00
11 monthly payments @ £250.00
Cost of course £3,300.00

This is to secure a place on the course and includes the:

  • City and Guilds registration fees, assessment logbook and certificate (on successful completion)
  • Payment for 8 weeks of the course fees

Further payments of course fees are paid monthly 4 weeks after the start of the training

For experienced salon based hairdressers. Course programme, duration and cost arranged on an individual basis
